Learning Objectives

After completing this unit, you'll be able to:

  • Explain what makes a unit test isolated.
  • Write tests that don't depend on org data.

Concepts

An isolated unit test exercises one piece of logic, creates its own data, and asserts one behavior. Isolation makes failures point at the cause instead of at a neighbor.

Hands-On Challenge

  1. Create TaskUtil with a static method getTaskPriority(String leadState) from the resources.
  2. Write TaskUtilTest with one test per branch, creating no org data.
